It gave me a pop-up warning to verify that I truly wanted to disconnect from it. Once I clicked on the account which kept giving me pop-ups, it gave me the button I needed to click on: Disconnect. This should lead you to the screen which will show the work or school accounts you have. And be sure to check your school's website to see what it recommends. Settings -> Accounts -> Access work or school. Arts and sciences students should be safe with either Windows or Mac.
